The design of this house was inspired by the details of Lindeberg’s and Lutyen’s English manor homes. This is apparent in the brick and stone exterior entrance archway; the brick herringbone nestled between rustic half-timbering; and the majestic stair hall with its stacked windows, carved wood mullions, and muttons, stucco gable, and exquisite plaster appliqué creating the feeling of permanence. The diminutive scaling of the garage wing strengthens the design without detracting from the overall design aesthetic of the main home.
