We expanded the original “farmhouse” style home with a kitchen addition coupled with the existing family room. These combined spaces rejuvenate the hearth making it truly the heartbeat of the home.  Comfortable, relaxed living for a family to enjoy all the comforts of modern living in a traditional setting. The transitional kitchen unites the timeless detailing of the inset doors of the cabinetry, farmers sink, and baker’s hutch juxtaposed with the modern layout and stainless steel appliances.

Unique design motifs are articulated throughout the project.  The original exterior brick wall is now expressed in the interior and a reminder of its past punctuated only by the beauty of stainless steel. The shed roof with simply painted beams and the wall of windows create a space reinforcing the notion of an original porch captured by the home. Finally, a little Adler magic transforming a person who walks thru a bank of cabinets leading to the butler pantry.

New delights with the beauty of the original farmhouse.
